The NCAA champions,the San Beda Red Cubs mauled their co-NCAA nemesis, the EAC/ICA Brigadiers. Van Abatayo led the Taytay based team w/17pts.

The EARIST team of Coach Francis Rodriguez scored its 2nd victory in 3 games in Group A, as they upset the College of St. Benilde Blazers of the NCAA with a 68-66 squeaker. Christian Albert Guimpatan led the victors with 16pts., 8pts in the last qtr. It was the 3rd straight defeat of the Blazers after their loss to P.M.M.S. & La Consolacion.
