Quarter Scores (HCHS-UHS): 21-6, 43-17, 75-23 and 96-39 …
Seldom-utilized Waldrich Siy came off the bench to score a team-high
17 points in 15 minutes, shooting 8-for-12 from the field (including
1-1 3FGA), mostly perimeter jumpers Baby-faced mammoth center John Apacible
and Don Mendoza also came off the pines to contribute 14 and 10 points,
respectively for Hope Christian, which picked up its sixth win in as
many appearances. Apacible also grabbed 13 rebounds. Center Clint Doliquez
started and collected nine markers and, eight boards and four blocks
in 12 minutes and Christian Villar scored eight for the winner …
Philipp Licaros topscored for Uno with nine points but shot just 3-for
17 from the field. Ryan Lim totaled eight markers and 11 boards and
Kevin Kok had seven points for the Uneans, who dropped their fourth
game in six assignments.

Notes: Grace Christian College kept favored St. Jude
Catholic School at bay until midway through the third quarter before
surrendering a 72-59 decision when the Judenites’ top gun Jason Ligad
started to heat up …
GCC took the first quarter, 14-13, and trailed by just four, 32-28,
at halftime. Ligad knocked in 13 of SJCS’ 23-point output in the third
quarter, which ended at 55-41 …
GCC failed to make any headway in the fourth quarter as SJCS led by
least 10 points in the payoff period …
Ligad finished with 30 points, shooting 12-for-28 from the field, including
6-for-16 from three-point land. Joel Chang knocked in five three-pointers
and totaled 17 points while center Francis Go wound up with nine markers
and 17 reebies for the Judenites …
Burly Rodney Gonzales registered a double-double for host GCC with 17
points and 14 rebounds. Lanz Tan was the only other GCC double-figure
scorer with 14.
