ACCENTURE SOLUTIONS WIN FCC CROWN Accenture Solutions , living up to its number one ranking after the elimination round , went all the way to the championship and beat sister team Accenture BPO 66 - 61 in the finals to win the crown in the recently-concluded Futures Corporate Classic 9 FCC ) summer basketball tournament. Most Valuable Player ( MVP ) awardee Niku Valles led Accenture Solutions in the deciding game top scoring with 19 points in the finals and joined teammate Erwin Pasamanero, Accenture BPO's Edward Villanueva, Marco Divinagracia from JP Morgan Chase, and Rommel Jason Figueroa from Infonxx in the league's Mythical Five selection. Earlier in the semifinals, both Accenture Solutions and Accenture BPO, enjoying a twice to beat advantage as they ranked first and second with 5 -1 and 4 - 2 win-loss records after the elimination round, needed only one game each to dispose of their semifinal opponents , Accenture Solutions took the measure of Infonxx 55 - 47 while Accenture BPO easily beat JP Morgan Chase 70 - 55. The other teams that joined this inaugural tournament were Cebuana Lhuillier, Prime Peak, and Customer 24/7. The tournament, sponsored by Pocari Sweat, Bacchus Energy Drink, and Accord Capital and organized by Futures Sports & Events , had its championship game at the Meralco gym in Ortigas , ' we had a good first time tournament , and definitely we are looking forward to an even bigger field next year, we will maintain this tournament as one that is open only to regular employees of participating companies to even out the playing field and avoid getting semi-professional players, " said chief organizer Nino Sinco.and Tournament Director Tyrone Limon. Futures Sports & Events also organizes the nation-wide and school-based Futures Basketball League which is held regularly in Cebu and Davao with Bacolod and Davao as the newest areas, the regular FBL tournament opens on September in Metro Manila.,the group also organizes a 3 on 3 Baller Battle tournament open to boys and girls from both non-school and school-based teams, according to Sinco.
