For the third consecutive year, Xavier School and Chiang Kai Shek
College will battle for the Aspirants Division title in the 40th
Metro Manila Tiong Lian Basketball Association tournament.
The best-of-three finals start on Saturday, February 13 (10:00
a.m.), at the CKSC gym.
Game Two is slated for Monday, February 15 (2:00 p.m.), at the
Xavier School gym.
If necessary, the third game will be held on Wednesday, February
17 (5:30 p.m.), at the CKSC gym.
Seeking its eighth straight championship in the Aspirants Division,
Xavier School owns a perfect 7-0 record going into the finals against
CKSC.
Chiang Kai Shek College, on the other hand, has a 6-1 mark. The
Blue Dragons’ lone defeat came at the hands of Xavier School, 63-48,
last January 16.
During the semifinals, top seed Xavier School ousted No. 4 seed
St. Jude Catholic School, 87-67, and No. 2 seed Chiang Kai Shek
College, eliminated No. 3 seed St. Stephen’s High School, 77-62.

Xavier School – Jarrell Lim (19.4), Vincent Soliven (10.6), Anton
Lapez (11.0) and Jacob Ejercito (4.6)
CKSC – John Nonato (11.3 ppg), John Gallego (9.7), Bobby Francisco
